All of our patients have a named GP.
This is identifiable on your computer record and our receptionist will be happy to advise you of this.
We always encourage continuity of care wherever possible and would hope patients will continue to see the Doctor or Doctors that they are familiar with. In some cases this may not be your 'named' GP and this should not concern you, but if you wish this to be changed please ask a receptionist to update this on your records.
We are not able to guarantee that each patient will always be able to obtain an appointment with their named GP, especially as many of the doctors are not in the surgery every day, and this should not affect your ability to get appropriate medical advice within an appropriate time scale. However for patients with complex care needs we recognise the benefits of having one clinician in overall charge of a patient's care, and in such cases this will be your named GP unless otherwise specified.
When ringing for an appointment please let the receptionist know which doctor has been attending you for this particular episode.
